This year at Grimrot was different from years in the past. Our tombstones were showing their age and the cemetery fence was requiring a large amount of repair so I gave them all away. Needless to say, we didn't get a new cemetery put together for 2009. We did however spend a good bit of time on our new Flying Witch project. The other thing that we neglected to do was take a lot of photos but we did get some nice video to share.
This video is a general overview of our disply this year.
There was no cemetery in place but we still had a great time. The props in ths video include our FCG (Maggie), the Flying Witch (Helga), 2 Axworthy Ghosts, an bunch of foam pumpkins, our scarecrow, and the rear projected Hallow Window I & II.
Helga the Flying Witch flys 25' off the ground atop our garage roof. If she could stand up on her own she would be 5'3" tall on a 6' long broom that is mounted to a 10' boom arm that is counter balanced with 40lbs of concrete. She uses both 12vdc and 115vac power for lights and effects. Her construction consists of steel, aluminum, PVC, wood, latex, plastic mesh, and landscape fabric.
